Events Module

Accessing the Events Module 

  1. Log into the Koolay Console. 


  1. Click on the “Events” link on the left side of your toolbar. 


Viewing the Events List 

  1. Click on the “Events” link on the left side of your toolbar, then select the "Events List" link. 


  1. For multi-site platforms, select a specific site or choose “All Site” to view events across all sites. 


  1. Access events by visiting the designated URL (e.g., https://www.websitename.com/calendar) and configure web links via "Content Category" or "Menu Definitions" to direct users to "/Calendar". 

  1. View the list of events including details like “Title”,Start and End Date and Time”,Location”,Repeat”, and “Repeat End Time”. 

Editing an Event 

  1. Click on the “Events” link, then on the “Events List” link. 

  1. Select any event name to edit. 


  1. In the form, update details such as Site Selection, Type, Title, Start/End Date, Location, Repeat options, Category, and Notes. 


  1. If the event is recurring, set the frequency in the “Repeat” section. 


  1. Save the changes by clicking the "Save" button. 


Creating a New Event 

  1. Click on the “Events” link, then on the “New Events” link. 


  1. If it's a multi-site platform, select the appropriate site. 


  1. Configure the event’s repetition in the “Repeat” section and set the event’s frequency. 


  1. Fill out all necessary fields: Site Selection, Type, Title, Start/End Dates, Location, Repeat options, Categories, and Notes. 


  1. Click the “Save” button to finalize the new event. 

Deleting an Event 

  1. Click on the "Events” link, then on the “Events List” link. 

  1. Check the box next to the event name you wish to delete. 


  1. Click the “Delete” button and confirm the deletion by clicking “Yes”. 


Managing Event Categories 

  1. Viewing Event Categories: Click on the “Events” link, then select the "Event Category List" link to view all categories. 


  1. Creating a New Event Category: Click on the “New Event Category” link, enter the “Event Category Name”, and save it by clicking the “Save” button. 




  1. Deleting an Event Category: Click on the “Event Category List” link, check the box next to the category name to delete, click the “Delete” button, and confirm by clicking “Yes”. 


  1. Ordering Event Categories: Click on the “Event Category Order” link, drag and drop categories to reorder them, and click “Save Orders” to apply the changes.

 

To access Events

  1. To access Events, visit https://www.websitename.com/calendar. 

  1. If you want to share event records with site visitors: 

    1. Mark the relevant places in "Content Category" or "Menu Definitions" as "Web Link" under Type. 

    1. Enter "/Calendar" in the "Address to Forward" field. 

  1. This will direct the corresponding menu within the site to the calendar display. 

Repeating an event at certain intervals

  1. Login to the Koolay Console with your credentials.  
  2. Access the left-side toolbar 
  3. Select “Events List” from the “Events” link options 
  4. Open an event
  5. choose one of the available options to repeat this event every day, every week, every month and every year
  6. you can select "None" if you do not want it to repeat.
  7. You can also determine the intervals at which it repeats. For this, select the "Custom" option and make the adjustments.

 

Indicating that a Page is a Calendar

     1. Open the "Category" tab in the left menu.

     2. Open the "Categorry List" page.

     3. Find the calendar page in the category list on the right and click on it.

     4. Find the "Menu Type" setting in the "Basic Information" section.

     5. Mark this setting as "Module".

     6. Select "Staff Listing" from the "Module List" section just below.

     7. Finally press the "Update" button.

 

Calendar Filtering

-You can filter the calender on the site you own as you wish.

                      -Press the "Today" button to show today's date in Calendar.

                     -If you want to make a monthly listing in the calendar, press the "Month" button.

                     -If you want to make a weekly listing in the calendar, press the "Week" button.

                     -If you want to make a daily listing in the calendar, press the "Day" button.

                     -By clicking on the "List" button you can see the events for that month.
